TidyTuesday Week 12: The Office

The Office is one of my favorite TV shows and I was excited to see the fantastic schrute package with all scripts along with data from IMDB on the show’s ratings as part of this week’s tidytuesday. After visualizing the ratings across all nine seasons, it seemed that once Michael Scott – the main character of the show – has left at the end of season 7, ratings went down. To see to what extent Michael Scott was really important for the show’s success, I dug a little deeper and explored this question in a bit more detail. You can read an outline of my approach here.
